Defence and Security Business Conference
The Balkans Investment Consulting Agency (BICA) participated in the Defence and Security Business Conference, held on November 24-25, 2009 in Sofia, Bulgaria. Mr. Andrey Bachvarov, owner and general manager of BICA, co-moderated the panel „NATO on the Balkans: trust, cooperation and security.”

The conference was organized by the Atlantic Club of Bulgaria, NATO Information Centre in Sofia, Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Economy, Energy and Tourism, State Commission on Information Security and Bulgarian Defense Industry Association. It was attended by government officials, foreign ambassadors, key decision makers and business representatives of more than 28 companies from the region.

The Bulgarian Investment Consulting Agency is adopting Balkans Investment Consulting Agency as their new name.

The Bulgarian Investment Consulting Agency is pleased to announce that we are adopting Balkans Investment Consulting Agency as our new name. The latter better reflects the company’s geographic focus and range of services.

We are still BICA. What stands behind those four letters, however, represents what we have become: a network of multidiscipline specialists that are comfortable working anywhere in the Balkans. With regards to the latter, we recently opened an office in Prishtina, Kosovo that supports our mainstream activities.

Investment Roadshow to Europe’s Next Emerging Markets

BICA (, a professional investment advisory, working in Bulgaria, Serbia, Macedonia, Kosovo and Albania, invites you to an investment roadshow in Macedonia – the first of a series of events that explore Europe’s next emerging real estate markets. It will take place from November 27 - 30 in Skopje (the capital) and Ohrid, the UNESCO jewel.

The delegates will meet key government and municipal officials, executive management representatives of Macedonia’s largest banks, and top local businessmen. The trip continues with onsite visits to Skopje’s hottest real estate projects, including hotels, office developments, and retail centers. Next stop is the beautiful Ohrid, known as the Jerusalem of the Balkans. Further to the onsite visits of projects, delegates will enjoy a boat trip on the Ohrid Lake, second famous to the Baikal Lake, as well as the opportunity to visit any of the 365 churches and network with the other participants during a closing cocktail at the lakeshore.
